Random checks revealed 99 pilots of Indian airlines who were sent on a flight with a higher alcohol content in the blood. The inspections were carried out from 2011
The Minister of Aviation of India Siddeshwar did not disclose the names of the pilots and the airline, noting the need for stricter laws. At the same time, the Minister noted that the number of pilots-violators is growing every year. Experts believe that the Indian aviation authorities do not cope with the active expansion of airlines and their personnel, which causes security problems.
Recall that in 2011 the aviation sector was shocked by the scandal associated with unskilled Indian pilots who performed flights on fake licenses.
