The authorities of India have seriously aimed at increasing the incoming tourist flow, and in the near future they will implement a program for issuing tourist visas at airports.

Initially, the list of states whose citizens can use visa-based relief included only 40 points, but today it is almost a whole planet. In total, the innovation will affect travelers from 180 countries, which, of course, significantly increases the scale of the launched campaign.

Regarding the process of issuing an entry document, according to unofficial information, tourists will need to make a preliminary application several days before departure. The whole procedure will be carried out through the website of the Immigration Service of India with the subsequent receipt of an electronic permission to arrive in the country.

Despite such promising prospects, Russian representatives of the tourism industry do not see in the simplification of the visa regime of a great potential: in view of the continuing attacks on our fellow citizens, only the repeated strengthening of security by Indian law enforcement agencies can contribute to the growth of the tourist flow from Russia.
