The small town of Caesarea is located on the Mediterranean coast of Israel, 50 km north of Tel Aviv and just a few kilometers from Hadera. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Baron Edmond James de Rothschild bought land around Caesarea, and in 1948, with the formation of the State of Israel, gave them to the Caesarea Foundation.
Caesarea is the only place in Israel run by a private organization, and not municipal government agencies, and is considered one of the most prestigious residential areas in the country.

How to get to Caesarea
In Tel Aviv or Netanya you can take any bus next to the coastal road to Hadera, then take bus No. 76 to Caesarea .
By train from Tel Aviv to Binyamina (cost 21 shekel, journey time 45 min.) Or Haifa (17.5 shekels, 30 min), then take a taxi. Prices are for April 2011

On the main highway of Israel, Highway 2, connecting Tel Aviv and Haifa.

@ One of the most beautiful beaches in Israel, Sdot Yam, is located in the same name in a private cove overlooking the ancient ruins of Caesarea. Beaches of Caesarea are considered one of the best in Israel. Visiting the beach during its working hours is chargeable, with payment of beds and tents. In the rest of the time, the entrance to the beach is free.
The schedule of the beaches:
- April-May: 09:00 to 17:00;
- June: from 09:00 to 17:00 on weekdays and to 18: 00 at the weekend,
- July-August: from 09:00 to 20:00;
- September: 09:00 to 17:00 on weekdays and to 6:00 on weekends.
From November the beaches are not supervised by the rescue brigades, and the entrance is free.

Entertainment, sightseeing and sightseeing Caesarea
"Caesarea Harbor Historic Reserve" and Caesarea National Park, which includes the seaside part, is one of the archaeological finds of Israel and the whole Mediterranean. This gigantic port city was created two thousand years ago by Herod the Great in honor of the Roman emperor Augustus-Caesar. Of interest is the Rally Museum with private collections, where the section on Caesarea history is most fully represented, as well as a large collection of works of South African art and original works by Salvador Dali.
