The authorities of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg announced plans to build a new national library. Its opening is scheduled for 2018.
The National Library of Luxembourg will occupy a little less than 25 thousand square meters and will combine the existing four buildings. In addition, the architects of the Luxembourg library plan to build a very impressive reading room, its area, according to preliminary data, should be 8,500 square meters.
According to some information, the cost of the new national library is about 112 million EUR.
