In 2013-2014, the Mexican government will invest 8.6 billion pesos in the tourism sector of the economy (just under 700 million dollars) - such a statement made recently President Enrique Peña Nieto.

It is reported that this amount will be spent entirely on building new and updating existing elements of the tourist infrastructure. New hotels, restaurants, city parks will appear in the country, and local airports will acquire new terminals and services.
