Anna Frank is a Jewish girl who died in Belsen camp shortly before the end of the war, which kept a diary describing life in the shelter during the Nazi occupation of Amsterdam. In 1957, the fund opened the memorial museum in the same house where the Frank family had been hiding from the Germans for two years.
