Nyashnoe, mimiishnoe and uchipussechnoe name "Pinkpop", which brings associations with the early Britney Spears or podnadoevshey Ketti Parry, in fact, hides a unique festival of rock and alternative music.
Anyway, but about any "pope" on the scenes of this festival speech is not. Conducted for over 40 years in the cozy Dutch town of Landgraf, Pinkpop is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the oldest music festival in Europe. Traditionally, "Pinkpop" is held in early-mid June, each time the date changes, since the official start of the event is tied to Pentecost - the weekend to the Holy Trinity (Fri-Sat-Sun).
Every year Pinkpop collects simply a mad amount of the public, for example, in 2014 more than 200 thousand spectators visited local venues. Of course, such a crowd can be placed only in the open air, and not in one scene. Therefore, as a rule, three sites are working on Pinkpop, where you can see, hear, and if you're lucky, then touch the brightest stars of the metal and rock scene. For example, in 2014 here hellishly played their program "Metallica" and old man Bruce Springsteen.
By the way about old men. In 2007 Pinkpop arranged a special festival called Pinkpop Classic, where older rockers could come off and remember the youth. Well, gangs that glittered at the festival about 20-30 years ago played for them.
