In every self-respecting European city there is a main market. In Krakow, this is the whole Market Square. After all, the Poles always liked to bargain on a grand scale. We can say that local people made this market for their own growth. Initially, it was too big for Krakow, but gradually began to build up new rows - bread, meat, fish, coal, salt and others. So the square harmoniously blended into the city and became the central place of trade

Kraków Market Square is one of the largest medieval squares in Europe. It was built already in 1257, and framing its buildings of the 14th and 15th centuries. construction, gained its present appearance in the 17-19 centuries, although preserved Renaissance and Baroque: attics, portals, galleries, courtyards

The main attractions of the area, besides the market - Town Hall Tower, Church of St. Adalbert, a monument to Adam... Mickiewicz, the palace of Zbaraski and, of course, the Mariats church. Today, local residents go to the "Market" to stroll, go on a date, a business meeting, but not for vegetables and fruits. Now it is one of the attractions of Krakow. Market Square

The building itself is pretty remarkable. It was built in the XIV century and looks very grandiose. On the square often hold various exhibitions and fairs. But the main thing ... Read the full review

The old town in Krakow is, above all, the Market Square . As in any area of Europe, there are many pigeons, cafes and live street statues. The square solemnly looks in the afternoon, but in the evening in the light of the streetlights, it becomes fabulous! Here, on the square, there is an indoor souvenir market - the shopping arcade of Sukenice. We just admired amber and wood products, and bought all the friends from the fridge magnets.
