Portuguese Madeira prepares for the traditional carnival, timed to the long-awaited end of the winter and the coming of such a welcome spring.
From 26 February to 5 March streets Funchal will turn into the epicenter of festive events, where every guest will find something to do for him. A rich program will include numerous concerts, competitions, parties and theater performances. On February 28 the youngest participants will have a children's procession, and on March 1 a colorful parade with columns of mummers and thematic platforms will take place. The holiday will end with a grandiose Tuesday march (March 4), "where there is a lot to sing and dance" (c) (thanks, google translate!).
