One of the The most vivid impressions of Portugal August 26, 2014

It was just an incredible sight and one of the brightest impressions of the country! This city and the monastery just need to see, being in Portugal, although for this purpose it took a couple of hours to travel by regional train from Lisbon (there is no more high-speed option). Originally built as a castle, and then functioning as a monastery, it rises on a hill above the city, surrounded by fortified walls and the emotions are off scale even at the sight of these powerful walls.
