Sensation Festival

Sensation is one of the most popular electronic music festivals in the world . This event, whose age is more than 10 years old, was originally held only in Amsterdam . But since 2005 Sensation has reached a truly global scale and is taking place in Russia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Latvia, Lithuania, Belgium, Hungary, South Korea, Brazil, Serbia, USA, Australia and many other countries . What is Sensation? An ultra-popular musical event and a grandiose show that gathers a lot of guests who are eager to jerk convulsively in the light of the spotlights under the tracks brought by the best DJs in Europe and around the world .

The founders of the festival - the Duncan brothers and Miles Statterheim - were known all of Amsterdam due to the fact that they did not have a lot of creative talents and arranged wonderful and unusual music parties. One of these brothers asked the guests to come dressed all in white. The effect surpassed all expectations: people dancing in neon light in white looked fantastic. After this evening, the rumor about talented promoters from the capital of Holland was spread all over, let and not very big, to the country.

After a while, the life of one of the brothers, Miles, was tragically interrupted in a car crash. In the last way, almost all of Amsterdam saw him off and many were dressed in white clothes. A year after the death of his brother, Duncan decided to honor his memory by holding a party. And he asked everyone to come in white, as well as to Miles's funeral. Since then, and established a white dress code, and with it one of the unique features of the festival.

Sensation was a single event in the early years, but later it was divided into Sensation White and Sensation Black. At first, fans of trance and house gather, and at the second festival - more harsh electronic genres, such as, for example, hardcore and techno. Of course, for a person unsophisticated, it's hard to understand than one tyts-tyts-tyts differs from another, but for avid fans of electronic music is a matter of principle. Traditionally, two discs are released after each festival, as well as the so-called "Hymn" of each of the festivals.

In different years Sensation was performed by the most famous representatives of their business: Paul Van Dyke, David Gatt, Andre Tannenerg and others, widely known in narrow circles. Of course, during a large-scale party, visitors can not only dance heartily, but also see an amazing show. One kind of several thousand dressed in all white people is able to make a stunning impression, so to speak about the appropriate scenery and all sorts of special effects. By the way, the slogan of the festival is the saying "Be a part of the night - get dressed in white."

Sensation is traditionally held in St. Petersburg in early-mid June.
