Infrastructure
As far as the village itself, Lipin Bor is a very compact village that has the shape of a square divided in straight lines. The main street of the town is Pervomaiskaya, at one end there is a bus station (from there you can get to Vologda and back). On the same street you can find a bar with a mini-bakery and a museum of history and folk culture. Near the museum is the House of Crafts, where you can buy souvenirs and inexpensive products from straw, birch bark or linen clothing and ornaments.
In the center of the village there is an administration building, a dining room and shops with household goods. Not far from the square there is a temple with a beautiful silvery dome. Once it was a metalwork shop, and now it's again a place of worship, but all traces of heavy Soviet industry have so far not disappeared from the temple, and it still looks half-way, although restoration work is under way.
