Raging on the sunny beaches of the Costa Brava, few people think of visiting so-called cultural institutions. But in vain, because there is a unique object, not to visit which will, frankly, be unforgivable. It is a museum of Salvador Dali, located in the homeland of the famous surrealist painter in Figueres (about 80 kilometers from Lloret de Mar).
The museum building can not be confused with any other. The bright red walls and the tower of the museum are modeled after a medieval castle, and its roof is decorated with dozens of huge ... chicken eggs. The most interesting is for tourists, of course, inside.
The collection of the museum of Salvador Dali on the Costa Brava counts - attention! - more than 4000 works of art performed by a famous artist. These are paintings, sculptures, engravings, photographs and even jewelry and holograms.
The museum of Salvador Dalí works according to the tourist season. So, from March 1 to June 30, it is open every day from 9.30 to 18.00 (but in fact the last visitors can get here until 17.15). From July 1 to September 30, the operating mode of the museum is as follows: from 9.00 to 20.00, except Monday (access until 19.15). By the way, from July 27 to August 31, the Salvador Dali Museum works at night - from 22.00 to 01.00.
Entrance tickets to the museum cost from 8 EUR (the price depends on the number of people in the tour group and the exposures visited). A full tour, including an exhibition of the artist's jewelry, will cost 12 EUR.
All prices are for October 2013
