For any admirer of the great Salvador Dali, the toponym Port Lligat is as sacred as Figueras or Pobol . It was in this tiny village on the Costa Brava that the married couple Dali-Gala lived almost unharmed their entire married life: fifty-three full happiness, support, understanding and worldwide success of the year . Hardly married, then the unknown (and non-monetary) couple settled in a modest fishing hut, rented from an elderly matron . In the years of glory this hut was bought out and carefully transformed in the family nest - of course, with a mass of incredible "Dalian" attributes: a phallic pool, a stuffed bear, a lamp, eggs on the roof ridge and the like surreal details . Today there is the Dali house museum - along with the theater museum in Figueres and Pobol Castle - an indispensable point in the pilgrimage of every Dalelub .

Beaches
Port-Lligata Beach small, sand and pebble, is located in the bay in the form of a steep crescent, so it is well protected from sea disturbances. Descent into the water is quite gentle, but you need to be careful: the rock bottom of the bottom, sometimes, forms unexpected holes. The water is very clean, but the width of the beach is small - at once the houses of locals or cliffs begin. Infrastructure is almost non-existent, which is understandable - tourists first of all rush to the house-museum of Dali, leaving bathing an additional option.
Cuisine and restaurants Port Ljigata
Similar to hotels, local restaurants are piled in Cadaqués. However, if the stomach persistently reminds of yourself, and go back categorically do not want to, it's worth visiting the restaurant Es Raco d'en Dani - it's a good preparation of fish and paella. Apart from him, there are two cafeterias in Port Lligat, one of them rarely has vacant seats, but the view of the bay is simply wonderful, and the second, next to the parking lot, is quite mediocre in all respects. At the entrance to the museum, you can have coffee or ice cream.
Shopping and shopping
The child of the Gala - Dali ", the shop at the house-museum offers Dalian symbols for every taste and purse. Other souvenirs Port Lligata, of course, also cover the life of a genius. Also here you can buy "general catalog" memorabilia, as well as local products: cheese, wine and jamon
Entertainment, excursions and attractions Port-Lligata
The very essence of Port-Lligat's existence on the tourist map of Spain is, of course, house-museum of Dali: a bunch of fishing huts, transformed by the imagination of the artist into a surreal maze. Visiting is allowed only as part of organized groups (all things in the house are authentic and arranged exactly as during the life of Dali), stay in each room do not allow more than 10 minutes - the heels come the next group.
Olive grove and garden - the approaches to the house-museum. Here you should see the installation "Christ of Garbage", assembled from an old boat and various garbage thrown to the shore of the bay. Pay attention to the summer dining room under the open sky, numerous arbours and, of course, the famous pool in the form of a phallus, in which, under the approving glance of the master, young Amanda Lear rushed in.
Before the entrance to the museum, cypress grows from the broken boat - it also grew with life Dali. There are many rooms in the house: an entrance hall with a stuffed bear, which served as a lamp and an umbrella stand, a dining room, a library (books from the collection of Dali are in the Tehre Museum in Figueres), a workshop and a room for mock-ups, private rooms, a bedroom for spouses, bathrooms, a dressing room and oval room, intended for the reception of Gala guests - El Salvador was not allowed to enter there.
The picturesque coast of Port Lligata offers leisurely walks. South of the house-museum stretches wild beaches, however, the coast is not always convenient for walking. To the north - the main beach of the city, and even more stretch undeveloped sections of the coast. Very close to the coastline is the island of Port Lligat - there you can swim by hiring a boat.
