A steep sight in the Konyaalti district is the Antalya Aquarium. The official website reports that it is "the largest aquarium tunnel in the world", "an unforgettable adventure in the underwater world awaits visitors", "more than 10 000 marine inhabitants" are greeted by the guests "and everything in this spirit. But let's take a step back from the genre of the advertising booklet and figure out how the situation with the aquarium in Antalya really is.
Underwater tunnel, which, in fact, attracts tourists, awaits the visitors of the Antalya aquarium only at the very end of the excursion.
Firstly, the inhabitants of the aquarium, maybe the truth is 10 000, but it means that not all of them are happy to appear before the clear eyes of idle tourists from one aquarium to another .In fact, in some "aquaculture" were literally seen one or two individuals against the backdrop of scenic scenery .Secondly, the walk starts with a few dozens of free-standing aquariums with a variety of living creatures, and an underwater tunnel, which, in fact, attracts tourists, awaits visitors at the end - for a snack, so to speak .Despite the claimed length of 131 m, the diversity of the inhabitants of the tunnel aquarium does not shine: above your head lazily swim only rays and small sharks .
But still you should not refuse to visit the aquarium Antalya - yet here you will see much more living creatures than lying on the beach or sailing just a few meters from the shore.
Thirdly, at the exit you can not avoid visiting the souvenir shop - and here you can not complain about the poor assortment: magnets, mugs, stuffed toys and much more in abundance.
Photographing in the Antalya aquarium is possible only without an outbreak, the cute female voice in different languages is constantly notified of this.
The aquarium has a good location - in the same area as the popular shopping center Migros 5M, unless you know the laziest tourist who is vacationing in Konyaalti, and not far from another landmark city landmark - mini-city miniature park. So, perhaps it is worth to abandon an organized excursion to the Antalya aquarium with packed buses taking tourists from dozens of hotels in a row, and to visit the aquarium yourself.
For those who are tired of the heat (although is not it for us all rushing to the Turkish coast?), Antalya Aquarium offers a trip to the "Snow World", which guests are waiting for a game of snowballs, a visit to Santa Claus and other winter entertainment.
Entrance to the aquarium - 70 Turkish lira, visiting the "North Corner" is paid separately.
Opening hours: from 10.00 to 20.00 every day.

We lived in Side and decided to go with an excursion to Antalya, to the Aquarium. After it we went down to the terrarium (this was included in the tour price) and drove home.
We all really liked it, it was very interesting and fun! I advise everyone to spare no money and time and go to this Aquarium!

While on vacation in Antalya, decided to visit the Antalya Aquarium. Children (8 and 10 years) were very requested, and we ourselves were interested. We have never seen anything like this before. The exposition, of course, is interesting. Fish of all sizes and colors float in beautiful aquariums with illumination. Aquariums are stylized for different epochs, in one even the plane lay.
