How to get to Fethiye
The nearest airports are in Dalaman (one hour on the way, Havas buses run) and Antalya.
Picturesque Lycian Mountains, covering the resort from the rear, do not interfere with the transport communication .Fethiye can be reached by bus from Antalya (10 EUR, 7, 5 hours, about 300 km), which arrive every hour in the season and stop on the way to Kalkan, Kas and Olympos .Accordingly, these buses go back with the same regularity, so that from Fethiye you can easily get to Kalkan (3 EUR, 2 hours, 80 km), and to Kasha (4 EUR, 2, 5 hours, 110 km), and to Olympos (8 EUR, 5 hours, 220 km) .This is the most picturesque path to Antalya, as the bus goes along the coast .There is another road - through the center of the region, it is faster, but, logically, it is far from so charming (9 EUR, 4-5 hours, 220 km) .
To get to one of the nearest settlements or beaches in the district, go to the bus station at the end of Atatürk Caddesi, about half a kilometer east of the center. From here, shuttle buses "dolmushi" to Faralya, Gojek, Hissaryen, Kabak, Kayaköy (Kaya), Kemer, Kumluova, Ovacik, Oludeniz bay, Saklıkent and Tlos.

Beaches of Fethiye
There are sandy, not very wide beaches, none of them belongs to a particular hotel: all are municipal ones. Where the hotels end, a wide sandy scythe leaves the sea, creating a bay that is closed from winds and currents, where you can swim even in winter. This wide sandy beach-peninsula is called the beach of Cleopatra or the Turtle Island (on the spit the tortoises are really often grazing).
Exploring the coast line further to the south, you can stumble upon and do paradise corners - narrow sandy stripes of beaches, which lead to narrow trails in the emerald green (well, or the torsos of rowers on boats) .For example, the blue lagoon of Oludeniz is just 10 km from Fethiye .This natural reserve is located at the foot of the Lycian Mountains, and the bay in which it is located is translated as "Dead Sea" (accordingly, the medicinal properties are available) .Here rests the advanced youth, which does not represent a beach holiday without parasailing or kiting .
To the north lies the resort of Gocek, which was recently opened by Turkish high society, despite the fact that there is no good beach, but there is a picturesque promenade. Nearby, 10 km to the east, there are pretty bays Gülüklülu and Katranci, Sarigerme and Iztuzu.

Transport
The parking of minibuses is at Atatürk Caddesi and stretches to Çarşı Caddesi. From here you can get to the west of the resort and its inexpensive nice boarders - it is enough to sit on the "dolmush" with a sign Karagözler on the front glass. The fare is fixed and is approximately 1 EUR, no matter how many you have passed. A taxi through the entire resort - from west to east - will cost about 6 EUR.
At the same place, at Atatürk Caddesi, there are several scooter rental offices (14 EUR per day, 11 EUR for rent for three days or more).

Finally, it is worth to look into the Fethiye museum (working hours: Thurs-Sun 8: 30-17: 00, entrance 3 lira) with a collection of archaeological finds and the Leton Stela of 358 BC. e. It is thanks to this stele that scientists were able to find the key to deciphering the mysterious Lycian inscriptions (to tourists these scribbles, of course, do not say anything, but it's still worth seeing).
All restaurants, bars and discos are concentrated in the city of Fethiye, which is 25 minutes away. The most famous disco "Lykia Disco" is located in the Jalis quarter. Sea excursion "12 islands of Fethiye Bay" will allow you to admire near the numerous bays and islands of this region. Of the sports entertainment in Fethiye, paragliding is the most common.
