The main ports of Turkey?
Responses information department of "Tourism Thinness"
Due to its extremely favorable geographical position, many cities of Turkey have access to the sea. Yes, not to one, but to four: Black, Mediterranean, Aegean and Marble. Of course, there are plenty of port cities here. Some of them receive passenger ships, others - cargo, others are small and serve only yachts in seaside resorts.
The largest port of the country is Istanbul, located near the Marmara Sea and the Bosporus Strait, with access to the Black and Mediterranean Seas. It is followed by Izmir on the Aegean Sea, Samsun, Trabzon (passenger port) and Zonguldak (cargo) on the Black. Bandirma ports on the Marmara Sea, Antalya, Marmaris and Mersin on the Mediterranean are already smaller, although they are considered extremely important for the economy of the state. But Alanya, Fethiye, Bodrum and other similar cities, despite the presence of marinas, are already only resorts.
