Lake Placid is a small hamlet in the Adirondack Mountains in the northeastern United States, which was lucky enough to become the venue for the Olympic Games in 1932 and 1980.

How to get there
The nearest international airports are in Albany, Burlington and Canadian Montreal. There is a small runway in Lake Placid itself, but only charter and sightseeing planes are served there
The road by car from New York to Lake Placid will take about 5 hours on Route 87 and then on to 9N. The road along the route from Montreal will take about 2.5 hours.

Routes and slopes of Lake Placid
In Lake Placid The best tracks on the entire east coast of the US for professional skiers. The winter season starts here in November and closes by early April.
