The nearest airport is in the city of Rovaniemi in 83 km, where there are flights from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and European countries. From Rovaniemi, you can get to Kemijärvi by bus or shuttle.
There is a railway station in Kemijärvi, the road from Helsinki will take you 14 hours.
