Summer residence of the President of the country
Summer residence of the President of Finland Kultaranta (on the Russian "golden coast") is a quaint stone castle on the island of Luonnonmaa, a powerful tower which is visible right from the port of Naantali. The castle building, designed by Lars Sonck, was built in 1916 and is surrounded by fragrant rose gardens.
Kultaranta can be visited only during organized excursions that start from the main gate (at 2 and 3 o'clock in the afternoon) or on excursion bus from Maariankatu (departure at 13:40). Excursions are conducted in Finnish, except for the end of August, when "English-speaking" tours are arranged at 2 pm
Monastery of St. Brigita
