How do I get from Madeira Airport to the hotel?

Responsible information department of "Subtlety of Tourism"
The International airport of Madeira is often called the airport of Funchal. From the capital of the island it is separated approximately 18 km. In fact, the airport is located in the Santa Catarina village of the municipality of Santa Cruz, hence its second name is Santa Catarina.

To get there from it to the place of rest, you can book a transfer to the hotel, from 33 EUR back and forth for two of them. The final price will depend on where you need to go and which car.

Taxi from the airport will cost more, from 30-35 EUR, but will also bring you to the threshold of the specified hotel. Nevertheless, if you arrived from 6-8 am to 10:55 pm, you can go to Funchal on city buses No. 20, 23, 53, 78, 113, 156, 208. The trip will cost you 2.85 EUR. They arrive in the city center, and some hotels may need to travel some distance.

But the airbuses stop at almost all major hotels (Windsor, Porto Santa Maria, Castanheiro, Madeira Regency Club, Jardins da Ajuda, Atlantic Gardens etc.). They go every hour from 9:15 to 21:30. The ticket to both sides costs an adult passenger 7.5 EUR, only to the hotel - 5, the child 2.5 EUR.
