The Arab district or Kampong Glam is considered the smallest in Singapore. It consists of several streets, centered around the main local landmark - the Sultan Mosque, built in 1824. This is the largest Muslim religious building of the 80 available in the city. Stores with carpets and fabrics will appeal to everyone who loves bright colors and intricate ties.

To visit this place did not plan to, roughly speaking, just passing by, but not in vain. In this small Arab paradise it is very beautiful, the streets are narrow, there are many trees, and in the middle stands a stunning mosque. Inside did not go, but the appearance is very attractive. There are few people here, so it seemed that this place was completely abandoned. Later learned that in the local park often tripled the days of physical education. Residents from all over the city gather and actively spend time, all this is absolutely free.
