Budemerice Castle is a two-story mansion with turrets and attics

Built by Count Jan František Palfi Castle in 1889. A rich aristocrat was fond of the architecture of France and wanted to make a home for himself similar style. Castle Budmerice is a two-story mansion with turrets and attics. The building is stone, white. A monumental staircase leads to the central entrance.

When building the castle, several styles blended: Gothic, Renaissance and Romanticism. Therefore, the architectural details are different, but they blend harmoniously with each other.

The castle is surrounded by a neat English garden, as well as a virgin forest with artificial lakes and pavilions In the park there is a Gothic church dating from 1722. There is also a chapel The Virgin Mary of the Seven Sorrow is a small baroque building with an arch and a quadrangular tower.

Since 1945 the building belongs to the National Union of Writers. After the restoration, 14 rooms in the form of hotel rooms were made in the castle and the conference hall needed a literary union.

Budmeritz Castle Park is open 24 hours a day, except July and August. During these months, activities of the Union of Slovak Writers are held on the territory
