How to get to Cienfuegos
Jaime González Airport is located 5 km from the city and takes flights from Montreal and Toronto, as well as an internal flight from Havana.

By bus
The bus station is located on Calle 49 between Avs 56 and 58. Víazul buses depart twice daily from Cienfuegos to Havana (cost 20 convertible Cuban pesos (CUC), journey time 5 h, departure time 9:25 and 16:55) and in Trinidad (6 CUC, 2 h, 12:25 and 16:55). And at 6:30 from Cienfuegos a mini bus (10 CUC) is sent to Trinidad, which connects with other buses.
In just 1 CUC, local buses will take tourists to Rancho Luna and Pasacaballo, and for 4 CUC to Playa Girón - places with stunning beaches.

When there is fuel, then on a 120-seat ferry boat you can swim to the fortress of Castillo de Jagua (1 CUC, 40 min). The Muelle Real berth is located at the corner of Av 46 and Calle 25. Ferries from Cienfuegos depart at 8:00, 13:00 and at 17:30, from Castillo de Jagua - at 6:30, at 10:00 and at 15:00. Also in Castillo de Jagua, two boats leave from the Hotel Pasacaballo.

Caribbean cuisine can be enjoyed at Restaurante Covadonga (Calle 37 between Avs 2 and 0), where, according to legend, in January 1959, Fidel Castro and his partisans ate dinner during their victorious march to Havana. Beaches
Rancho Luna Beach, just 15 km from Cienfuegos, is famous for its golden soft sand. Especially good here is diving - in the areas of Las Playitas and Ensenada de Barreras there are beautiful coral reefs. About 30 dive sites provide an opportunity to see underwater caves, remnants of shipwrecks, as well as whale sharks. On the Rancho Luna beach, the Dolphinarium is very popular with regular shows of dolphins and sea lions.
Another beach, Punta La Cueva, is on the other side of the bay, in the west, and Playa El Inglés is located between Yaguanabo and Guajimico.

Of interest is the fortress Castillo de Jagua, located at the entrance to the bay of Bahia de Cienfuegos.
