The annual holiday of cloudberries will take place in Finnish Lapland, in the territory of the Ranua Zoo. Moroshka is a wild berry, similar to yellow raspberries, which grows on swamps and peat bogs in the north and east of Finland. At the holiday dedicated to it, a fair is held to sell berries, pies, jams and liqueurs from cloudberries. Also there are various contests, songs and dances. The culmination of the holiday is the choice of "Queen Moroshka."

The cloudberry season begins in late June and lasts until early August. Since the process of collecting berries is quite laborious, it sometimes costs up to 7 EUR per kilogram. In Finland, traditionally, jams and liqueurs are made from it. In general, we can safely say that this berry is one of the symbols of this northern country. Since 1999, the Mint of Finland has minted a coin with a face value of 2 EUR with a cloudberry image, created by architect and designer Raimo Heino.
