Theater Festival Tampere is the oldest professional festival in Scandinavia, representing actors' companies both in Finland itself and in other countries of the world. In the beginning of August festival guests are expected to play dramas, street theaters, seminars, master classes, music and dance performances, exhibitions and many other interesting events.

The festival is for the first time in 1968, the festival now consists of five parts: the main program (in This year there will be "Uncle Vanya", "Wild Ducks", adapted "Talented Mr. Ripley", as well as many other innovative shows), "tent" program, club festival Encorebaana, organizing small performances in local restaurants, OFF Tampare and additional e festivals.
